Courants alternatifs : énergie renouvelée 1/3 Morlaix, juin 2007 26 min 05 s Les Frères Ripoulain sont invités par les Moyens du Bord, association plate-forme pour les arts visuels en pays de Morlaix, à l'occasion de leur exposition d'été « Plasticité » qui interroge la place de l'artiste dans la société. Il s'agit pour les deux acolytes de réaliser des peintures murales en fonction des murs qui leur sont proposés. Prenant la mesure du travail accompli par les acteurs locaux ils improvisent deux formules « Gaz Rare » et « Volt Face » en regard des sites qui partagent une même énergie alternative: le Chantier et l'Urgence de l'Art. Richard Louvet et Bruno Elisabeth du Bureau d'Investigation Photographique les accompagnent pour ces 48 heures de résidence dans le Finistère. Coups de rouleau, blagues potaches et autres débordements, rien n'échappe à leurs objectifs acerbes. Les Frères Ripoulain are invited by the Moyens du Bord, an association dedicated to visuel arts around Morlaix, for their summer exhibition « Plasticité » which question the place of the artist into society. The point of the affair is to paint two fresco in reaction of the site that are proposed to them. Being informed of the hard work made by local social and cultural actors, they improvised two phrases « Gaz Rare » and « Volt Face » (Rare Gas and Volt-turn) regarding to those places that are sharing the same alternative energy : the Chantier and the Urgence de l'Art (the Building Site and the Emergency of Art). Richard Louvet and Bruno Elisabeth from the Bureau d'Investigation Photographique assist them for 48 hours of residence into the Finister. Roller lines, friendly jokes and other outburts, nothing can escape to their acerbic focus.
